First Stall
Well it was inevitable. I weigh in every Friday morning and this week the scale did not move the first ounce. I knew it was coming and really I'm OK with it. I got a gym membership for Christmas and I've established a regular workout schedule - this in part could be responsible for the stall.
Hopefully the measurements in February will show the real deal. To those of you who've been through these - typically how long does a stall last? Any advice or words of wisdom?

Hi Iris,
As you said and Darcie, echoed, the stall or plateau was inevitable, but the normally pass within 10 days to a month. Sometimes, as in Dalton's case they can hold for a couple of months. Generally when the scales are being stingy with the numbers, you'll see progress with the tape measure.
Stay the course, be sure that you are getting in enough protien and calories to keep you out of starvation mode... especially once you kick up the exercise... if you start running a calorie deficit or bring the caloric balance under 800 calories a day it can cause your body to start hoarding your fat reserves... seems counter-intuitive doesn't it?
Wishing you continued success... however, you measure it.

P.S. After telling him I just used his quote, hubby says to also remind you that when you start exercising your body is going to react to it and has to have a bit of time to adjust.
