Confused and stuck... Need advice from the experts...

You've gotten a lot of great responses, I just wanted to respond to.  First of all, you've done a fabulous job, and are already a great success, so keep that in mind.  That said, that doesn't mean you're finished and doesn't mean you have to throw in the towel.  Like many other posters have said, my first thought after reading your first 2 paragraphs was, "he needs to eat more!"  So, yes, I agree with your nutritionist.  I know I don't have your 50+ BMI experience personally, but when I used to hang around at the main RNY board, eating more calories to break a stall was common practice.  I've done it myself and it worked.  

Over the years, the one thing we've all become experts at is dieting and our bodies know how that goes.  So it's very easy for them to hop into "starvation mode".  Give it a kick and let it know it's not time to stop yet.   I know it's scary to add more calories when you've finally gotten yourself into a controlled routine, but keep in mind that it's good for you, and you can still maintain control by watching how much you add at a time.  Like Barb suggested, add 100 extra every few days and see what happens.

Thanks everyone for all the great support information and for just responding.  Your all true friends and your help and advice are greatly appreciated.  I know this is just a bump in the road and it will pass.  As Deb said, I hope I will be able to soon pass on these words of wisdom soon to some other person seeking advice.  It will feel really good to say been there, done that.
