A update about my son
Hi everyone. I just want to give everyone a update about little Bobbie. I took him to the ear nose and throat specialist today. As we suspected he is going to have to have his tonsilas and adenoids taken out. Also, he is going to have a allergy test done on him ad the last thing is he has fluid in his ears. That is the reason why sometimes we call him and we thought he was just being stubborn like us but instead he couldn't hear us. His left ear is worse then his right one. So the Dr said he is going to take care of all of that while he is asleep during the surgery. His surgery will be done in Rocky Mount on the 3rd of February so please everyone keep him in your prayers. Thanks for all the prayers and concerns..:)
We will all be praying for your son.
My son had his tonsils and adenoids out last summer (he's 4) and although the first few days were rough, we made it through it. Quick thoughts/advice from what we learned:
* When the Dr gives you the RX for the pain-you may want to consider getting the flavoring added at the pharmacy. It's only like $3-$4 extra and makes a world of difference. My son spit it back at us until we added the grape flavor, then he finally took it. When he was in pain, he wouldn't drink.
* Popsicles are great of course, but you can also try crushed ice type drinks - my son wouldn't drink anything, or eat popsicles but when we gave him an icee, he finally started drinking slowly.
Best of luck to all of you - keep us posted afterwards.
