One More Week!

Hi, I don't post here very much, but lurk often since I live in NC, but my surgeon and hospital are in VA. I  just have to share, one more week!!!   This time next week I should be in recovery as the Dr. said I am his first case that day.

I can't believe the time has passed, and is finally almost here. You guys are a great help and inspiration to me as I have traveled this journey, keeping me focused and motivated when I just wanted to go and eat something. This is the second week of my liquid diet, and while its been hard, reading all your posts about your lives, and challenges, keeps me grounded and focused.

Barb,  How exciting!  So glad you are making it through the liquid diet and your surgery day is almost here.  Being the first case of the day definitely is a bonus.  All of us on the loser's bench will be waiting for you! 

COngratulations !!! This week will fly by. Make sure you've taken some before pictures and this is a great time to take those before "MEASUREMENTS" as much as you might dread that - they show incredible progress in this journey when the scales may seem to be moving much more slowly than you'd like. 

Enjoy the  journey and let me know if there's anything I can do for you. At some point we've got to get together.

Thanks guys, Iris we are still talking about getting a support group or just a luncheon together for the EC area. I know polynesion princess is also interested. I have a couple people here at the hospital who are also interested. Maybe early Feb? Maybe a Saturday or early evening since most of us work.

I would be interested in that get together too.  I'm closer to EC than Greenville.  I so happy for you that you are so close.  I will start my liquid diet Friday.  Congrats and keep us posted!

I know you are getting excited.  :)  Please take your measurements and pictures.  I did not do that because I never wanted to see myself at 324 pounds, but I regret it now.  :)
