please help severe pain

I have sefere in my pouch area. It hurts to eat and drink also. My Prrimary care says my stomach is irritated. She said avoid acidic foods, ...the usual. Gave me nexium. I am in alot pf pain though.
Anyone else ever have issues with stomach pain after RNY. I am 6 1/2 months out. I eat and drink like I am supposed to. Until today I have not had any issues.
Please help the pain is awful.

Is it possible to get a stricture this far out?

Please call your surgeon's office immediately. I don't know what the problem is, but if it were me, that is where I would start.

Do you take anything like nexium or prevacid? If not could be a bottle or two of one or the other may help out a great deal. It would still be like Barb said a good time to go to the doc and get checked out. Once a long time ago I waited till it was almost too late to go for treatment and it was not a pretty picture. Better to be told its a belly ache or something minor than having major things pop up for waiting. Just my two cents and a bit of concern.
