Stopping by to say HI!!!
I am glad to be back closer to my grandparents, my grandfather is in stage 4 cancer and we do not know how much longer he will be with us and my grandma just found she has thyroid cancer but thankily that can be removed and all she will have to do is take medicine everyday. My grandma is upset bc she said that she cant be sick bc she has to take care of my grandpa but is happy that it can be taken care of. So please keep them in your prayers.
Now for me I am a little over 4 months out. I am at 190.3 as of this morning. I started off at 263!! OMG 73 lbs. in that little time. I still can not see it though. I mean I see it in my clothes of course but when I look at pics recently taken or look in the mirror I do not feel like I have lost that much weight. Yeah maybe like 15lbs lost but thats about it. Im still insecure around crowds, cameras, or anybody giving me any attention. I dont know if that will ever change. I started off in a size tight 24 and now I am in a loose 16 and just bought a size LARGE shirt. I havent been a L since junior high maybe. I am hoping as the time goes by that I will start to gain my confidence that I have never had and feel pretty. I dont know how you get that. You think that I would already but I dont. Maybe I should see somebody about it. Oh who knows!
Anywho. I want to tell Deb that I am still praying for you and your hubby everynight!! Darcie, I miss your crazy butt at the meetings!! Jami congratulations again on being pregnant!! Thats awesome. Barb thank you again and also I am so happy that your hubby is doing so well! Jaimee youre looking great and hope youre enjoying your visit at home.
Well thats about it. I hope all is well with everyone!!
Amanda

Where in TX? My husband lost his job and we'll be moving back to Dallas...he leaves in Feb. but I won't be able to come with the kids until June.
Did you find another surgeon to follow up with? Or will you just see a regular doctor? I had my surgery in August, so I'm not sure what to do.
I'm glad you're closer to family...we'll be closer to my husband's family, but much further away from mine :-(

Amanda,
It's so very good to hear from you. I am so glad that you are doing well and that you are there with your grandparents.
It's going to take some time for you to see the new you that is emerging, but trust yourself. You are making incredible progress... Not just in how you look, but in how you feel and your health. Even more important than that you are making life-changing changes in how you approach food and how you are raising your daughter. You are making the changes you wanted to make when you had this surgery. It may well take a while longer before you 'see' yourself as they rest of us do, but it will happen.
Thanks again, so very much for touching base and please be sure to stay in touch. You have been missed.
Hugs,
Barbara

I am so sorry about your Grandpa, my Grandma died last year from cancer so I know what you are going through. It is great to hear from you and congrats on the weight loss!!!!! I also miss you at the meetings and hope that everything works out for you in Texas. Oh and by the way.. DONT EVER say you are not pretty.... Amanda you are a beautiful woman!!!!
Hugs
Darcie
I'm glad to hear that you're all settled in in Texas. Don't be so hard on yourself about not seeing the weight loss when you look in the mirror. Are you comparing before and after pictures or measurements? Because I know you would have to see it then.
You're about to the point where every 10 pounds make a difference. You're doing a great job.
Thanks for the prayers for Ryan, baby & I. We're all doing just fine, sitting around waiting for time to go by and baby to grow. :)
