I'm cold

To all of you who are pre-op or in the very earliest stages of this journey - PREPARE TO FREEZE!!! Maybe it's because I had surgery in the summer - or maybe it's just one of the many things that I didn't pay enough attention to but I"M COLD. I hadn't thought about my body losing all it's insulation. I've always been hot natured (tank tops & flip flops in the winter) but now I can't seem to ever have too many layers on. I know that I'm not alone on this.

My youngest son just got his GED and we're having a huge family party for him this weekend with a pig pickin and oyster roast. We're all going to freeze. It's ironic in that my oldest son just graduated in June and his pig pickin was during an oppresive heat wave. Can't wait to post pictures of both events - even with 27 layers on for this party - I'll still be smaller than I was in June.

I don't like to be cold - it's making me grouchy.

Seems like I am cold alot too. When I start moving around at work I do warm up quick but I don't get the same affect at home. Maybe because when I am moving at work it is at a much higher intensity than at home LOL!

I like my cooler therostat...I can now wear long sleeves. Before I could'nt. Opens a new group of fashon possibilities.
We can always put more clothes on. But they put you in jail for taking to many off...TEE..HEE

I used to tease my sister-in-law about being cold all the time and now it's me! I know what you mean. However, now that the issue is being too cold we can layer on more clothes. In most circles, folks start getting a little testy once you start taking off 'too much.' LOL

I am like the other person who gets cold at home but not so much at work. I went to the gym today at lunch time for 45 mins. It is close by and it was my first time there. I warmed up real quick then. I am in my early stage. It is 3 weeks today even though it seems like much longer. I hate getting cold. I have always been cold. It is why we moved here from PA. I can't stand the thought of it getting worse. ugh.
Congratulations to your son. I hope he enjoys his big day even if it is a cold one. Save me some of that pig. Sounds yummy.

Hey Iris....i am right there with ya freezin my tail off.  I used to get hot flashes but those haven't been around for a few months.  Wish i could order them up.

Congrats to your son and have a ball at the pig pickin and dress warm.

My surgery is this Wednesday and if I can expect to be cold after surgery then I'm in trouble because I'm already cold most of the time. As I'm typing this we've got the heat at 72 degrees and I have goosebumps. I guess I'll be adding more layers of clothes after surgery.

I stay cold.  I wear about 4 layers per day now.  LOL  I have discovered that 175 pounds of pure fat added ALOT of warmth to my booty.  LOL

OMG i am ALWAYS freezing too!! And I was just like you, flip flops in the winter, but now, i cannot get warm!!! It is a crazy feeling...LOL
