I'm still pre-op ****il Wednesday) and have been doing a lot of reading and research. Can someone tell me the difference between whey protein and whey protein isolate? I have a can of whey protein in the cabinet that has 120 calories, 20g of protein, 2g of fat, 4g of carbs, 2g of sugar. I bought it before I was thinking about surgery, when my DH and I were doing low carb and some of my recipes called for whey protein. That was why I bought it. Anyway, it's labeled 100% whey protein. It doesn't say whey protein isolate. Is this something that's acceptable after surgery?

It should be just fine.
