That is great Ann!  It is amazing the obstacles we erected around our old selves and so happy you are tearing them down!

Good for you.  I tend to hide a lot.  I have wanted to find a church for a very long time in my area but unfortunately I have not.  I feel like a lot of the time my children are missing out b/c of me.  I'm really happy for you.

I'm so happy that you finally overcame your fear and made it back to church!  I could not make it through the week without God and my church family.  I have had many opportunities at church to educate interested folks about this surgery.  We had another gentleman have a lap band done a few months before my RNY and everyone's watching our progress, which is helpful for me.  Even when we have a meal at church or an activity, they check with me to see if I can eat the planned menu.  The emotional and spiritual help I get far outweighs concerns about my wardrobe.  (I cruise the consignment shops when I need something new)

I thought you might like to know that one of our old residents just passed, Mr. Kornblut, who was chairman of the town council and also owner of the little dept store on Main St.  Your grandparents probably knew him.  I believe he was in his mid-90s.

Keep up the great work!
Laura
