Anyone had Duke's Dr. DeMaria for surgeon?

Anyone had surgery at Durham Regional?  Specifically with Dr. Demaria?  I am having surgery Feb. 17th.  Just wanting to talk to one of his patients.  What type of pre-op diet does he require?  Thanks for any input.  Terri-Lynne

Dr. DeMaria performed my surgery June 5, 2007. He is a very competent surgeon. You are welcome to read my profile for details of my experience with him and at DRH. My husband just had his surgery at DRH with Dr. Portenier and I have to say that his experience was EXCELLENT. I believe that you will find that the process will be very well explained to you by the Mary Whitman the bariatric coordinator and the staff. You are most welcome to PM me if you have specific questions. You may also want to attend the upcoming support group meeting at DRH where you can talk to other patients about their experiences.
