OT: layoff AGAIN

Just wanted to ask to be kept in your thoughts found out yesterday that my husband and I will both be laid off work in March. This really is no surprise as the economy continues to crumble, and nafta continues to allow American companies to move out of state and import their products. The rich keep getting richer and the poor poorer. I never thought I see my country turn it's back on the middle class that keep our country running. I have watched plant after plant close down and move to China and Mexico. Soo many North Carolinians and Americans are being effected. Not to mention there is little help there for us. Our government helps other countries and illegal aliens even more than it helps it's own veterans. My father is a Vietnam vet. He was laid off 3 years ago. They almost lost everything they had befor he found a job after nearly 2 years of looking. He was 61 and never thought he would have a hard time getting a job with his experience. Sorry I am not having a pitty party. Just venting. Just wonder what the state of OUR Union will be is 4 years.

Im soooo sorry to hear about whats going on w/ you.  Your right, the damn goverments are freaking lame asses.  Im scared for us as well.  Im scared that Im never gonna find a damn job!!

lol..thanks for makin me laugh Karen...We can flush the woes away with a pine floa****er with a toothpick in it! Honey let me tell ya..I feel it is gonna get alot worse befor it gets any better. Just have to keep our heads up and stand up for what is right.

Your posting is off color and rude towards Hispanic Americans. My husband who was born and raised in California, is half Hispanic. He is a Marine Staff Non Commissioned Officer currently deployed for the last 5 months and has has served in the USMC for the past 13 years. I do not appreciate your racist tone in your posting.

Thanks, I would NEVER say such a thing about anyones race! Yes I believe an apology is needed. This has always been a warm and wonderful forum without anyone being offensive.

Darci I do not think she ment it to be offensive as she has hispanic roots. Just my thinking..

The comment about Mexicans is inappropriate and I find it unacceptable and offensive.
