I have news...

I'm sorry I haven't been around that much. I promise to do better in the new year... We had a lot going on with the end of the semester, then the holidays. I had seriously planned to get another Greenville Get-Together formed before the holidays and it just didn't happen. Hopefully we can do another one in late January or early February. :)

So now for my news...




I'm pregnant. I still can't believe I just typed that and it's about ME. After 5 years of trying, having gastric bypass surgery and 14 months of waiting, we are going to have a baby. James and I are ecstatic.  I've been leery of telling too many people due to the chance of miscarriage, but I did post on the post-op pregnancy board for their support. A few sneekies from here saw my post and messaged me but I appreciate their keeping my secret.

We heard the heartbeat yesterday and I'm appx 7 weeks along. My due date is August 23, 2009. We all know how precious these little lives are and how at any moment it can change (I am constantly thinking about Deb and praying for her and her sweet baby).  Please keep us in your prayers.

I think of all of you frequently and hope you are doing well. Good luck to all the newbies just out from surgery and headed that way. it is something you will NEVER regret!!!

Awwww...CONGRATULATIONS Mindy :) A baby is such a blessing!!!
I have a confession to make .... LOL I am also pregnant!!!!! Due August 31st!!!
But I am only 10 months post op today, hoping not to catch TOO much heck from my surgeon!! After the initial shock wore off, we are very excited, to bring a baby into our family along with our 9 year old son and 3 year old daughter!! Maybe we can share pregnancy stories :) Best of luck to you for a safe pregnancy!!! How EXCITINGGGG!!

OK, maybe I can only yell from my bed, but you get the idea.  I know you've been wanting this baby for so long, and I will definitely keep you in my prayers that you have a healthy, uneventful pregnancy.  Remember, I'm not the norm...chances are things will go great for you.  :)  I'm truly happy for you and James.  Enjoy the pregnancy!
