Quick Update!

Hello everyone! I got my ultrasound results yesterday which showed an enlarged thyroid and a goiter. Going to have my bloodwork done at my next follow-up on the 16th so the doctor wants to see what it shows before deciding what to do (increase my medication?).

Makes me wonder if this isn’t why I am losing the weight so slowly?  Yes, I‘m in another stall already!  Keep fluctuating the same 1-2 lbs. since Dec. 30th.  I’ve seriously had more success with dieting in the past than with this surgery! Keep telling myself that this time the important key is that the weight will continue to come off and continue to stay off. And, they say it’s healthier to lose slowly…I just wanna know who “they" is and if “they" are right!

Life is happening full throttle lately and it feels great! FINALLY my blood sugar and hormone swings are in check. Phew! Been at the softball field quite a bit with daughter and find myself walking all over the place instead of sitting there on my patootey. Lil’ man’s new curriculum should be here any day now so we are making do in the meantime. I’m loving my role as “teacher" again. We’re back to tackling our home’s interior remodel (ran out of good weather outside) so I am beside myself with excitemen****ching that all come together. I WILL have photos to share eventually, but it has to be perfect before I do and we’ve not *finished* anything yet! lol

I don’t have time to post a bunch of separate posts again today but I did take a quick glance through the first page… Deb is in my thoughts as she keeps that little bun a baking! Sending big congrats to Jami for her new bun in the oven! Super excited that Tamara finally has her big day coming up! Also thinking of Myrtis during her surgery today! Never a dull moment here on the OH forum, huh? Lol Warm welcome to all the new faces and my apologies for not saying hello before now. I thought January was going to be a laid back, boring month but it’s just not turned out to be that way at all. Hope everyone stays happy, healthy, and enjoying the new year.

Much love and {{{hugs}}} to all!

Shauna, glad to see you check in between all your running around.  I hope that they can soon get the thyroid problem under control, then I bet you will begin seeing the losses you were hoping for.

That thyroid can really mess with your body's hormones.  At least they know what it is and now can treat it.  Hang in there.  It might take time for things to get ironed out, but they will and the weight loss will start up again.  :)
