How about this for a SHOCKER
Oh my Gosh Jami, that is awesome!!! Congratulations! I know you're scared, but keep in mind that you are a MUCH healthier person than you were before and chances are you'll have a healthy pregnancy. I know that probably doesn't count for much coming from me right now, :) but I am an exception to the rule. Most post-op pregnancies go very well. You should visit the Post-Op Pregnancy board. It will give you comfort to see how many people have had/are having successful pregnancies after surgery. Of course, it is optimal to wait until after you're at goal before getting pregnant, but you're far enough that you should be fine. Seriously, there are people on that board that got pregnant 2 months out and they're OK.
So, I can't believe Andrea hasn't responded yet, because she's typically on the ball with this stuff, but I'll tell you what she told me. There are 2 very important things for you to do ASAP. Start taking a prenatal (if you're not already.) You need the added folic acid, etc. And, start eating carbs! Now! I specifically remember Andrea's first message saying to stop reading, get up and go have a piece of toast. How's that for good news? :) Not enough carbs will lead to ketosis which is very, very bad for a fetus. So, you'll have to adjust your eating plan somewhat from the post-op mindset.
I understand you're scared, excited, and all of that, and I'd say that's normal. :) But I'm just full on excited for you. I'll be praying for a healthy, full 9 months for you! Congrats again!
