WAHOO I have a tentative surgery date
I spent 9:30 am until 1:30 am meeting with the doctor, checking the bacteria in my stomach and meeting with the nurse practioner.
When Dr. Cox came in he did the exam and discussed both surgeries. I explained that I wanted the lap band. Evidently there was some confusion about my appointment. I was scheduled in a Gastric Bypass slot so all of the paperwork said gastric bypass. When the nurse came in I couldn't get a word in to tell her I was not doing the bypass but the band. Finally she stopped long enough for me to tell her. Of course that had to be straightened out first.
SURGERY DATE IS TENTATIVELY SET FOR..........January 22. Preop is JAnuary 14th. Lisa the insurance person said she would have to make several phone calls to get everything set but she thought she could get it all done.

I am so glad you got a surgery date. It all seemed to happen so fast for me. I am glad to get a date also. I heard from the insurance person and I have no deductible and I am set for the 22nd date. Now I have to go get the FMLA papers from human resources so I can keep my job. hee hee. Like anybody would have it. We are seeing some desperate people come in. Everybody is loosing their jobs and they have no way to pay their bills now. I am a foodstamp caseworker and it has been crazy this week. We are having one of our busiest months. Crazy, you would have thought it would have been worse in November and December.
