Okay it's time to really introduce myself...
My name is Stacey and I am a 37 year old single mom of four kids (11,9,7,4). I had the VSG surgery on Monday and I have been on that board for awhile. I read the NC board often and have posted a couple of stray comments but would really like to become a part of the group. I have held back because I am a VSG and I feel like I'll be a third wheel. However, it would be so wonderful to know other NC WLS friends. I look forward to posting more often.
Stacey - glad to have you join us. The common thread between us all is that we have had WLS - not what kind we had. So you are not a third wheel. True, there are more RNYers here, but I feel comfortable with my band and love the friendships that I have formed. So post as often as you can.
4 children ! my goodness you are a busy lady !
Welcome !

Welcome to the NC boards. Regardless of what surgeries we've all had we share the same common goal - to be healthier. Jump on in. Congratulations on your recent surgery and I look forward to learning more about you.
Hope you have an uneventful recovery.

Stacey, I sometimes feel the same way, but this board is always so welcoming and I have to just remind myself sometimes that nobody has ever cared which surgery I chose. I know on some boards there is a lot of fighting about surgery types, but I have never seen anything even close to that here. Let's both try to get better about coming on here and posting without worrying about it LOL.
Hi Stacey and welcome! This is a great bunch of people and make you feel welcome no matter what type of WLS you have. I, too, and going to have VSG pretty soon HOPEFULLY!
My paperwork has been sent to BCBS and it may take up to 2 weeks for VSG approval.
My doctor does not think it will be a problem. They have been approving VSG for him.
Come often and keep up posted on your progress!!
