cell phones drive me crazy

Well, I thought I had my follow up appt today but when I got there after an hour and a half of driving, they said that they had left a message on my cell phone on the 24th that my appt day had been changed.  Well, I checked all messages on Christmas because I had a bunch of them and no message from them.  I left the office and went to the car and checked again.  It had actually come in late last night.  I didn't check my messages today.  So, I got there and nothing.  I can't go tomorrow since it is my first day back to work.  So, I have to find a dr in the area that will take my staples out.  Sheesh!  Good news though, I lost 15 lbs in 7days.  I had my surgery last Monday.  I am feeling good and ready to get on with my life.

Thanks for the good wishes Barbara. I am actually at work right now and feeling really good. I am thankful for a desk job though. I think I would go stir crazy if I had stayed home any longer.

Sandy your local er may be able to remove them. I have not had any removed in a while but I just did it myself the last time they stapled me up. this last Wls surgery they used steri strips which I would not recommend since they did not work well on one of the wounds. I had to re apply them a couple of times. If you have friends in the profession they may be able to get the staples out without a visit. I know it is a pain to show up when you are supposed to be there and no one is around to do the job. good luck with returning to work. you are really getting back in the swing of things. I actually work in a clinic and they are real sticklers about things so I didn't know if they would take them out for me but they did. I sit here staple free. Yipee!
