Greenville or Wilm. Lapband ppl?

While at my emergency unfill, my Dr. told me I might look into finding a band Dr. closer to home. I'm entertaining this thought. I'd like comments on Wilm. or Greenville ppl who have the band....who their Dr's are and what they think of them........also negative responses please. I'm really scared of an unexperienced Dr. jabbing me like a roast. thanks.

I know that Southern Surgical in Greenville (Drs. Mann, Naziri & MacDonald)  do the lap band. I absolutely love Dr. MacDonald. The only down side I have with the practice is the waiting time seems to run a little on the long side (so now I book first thing in the mornings). I had RNY myself but thought I'd pitch their practice (252-758-2224.

Good luck with that Nancy.  I could not find a doctor that would take on a patient banded by someone else.  Maybe if your doctor gave you a referral, another doctor will accept you.

You know I am not a bander but you would LOVE Dr. Mann!! and if you didnt like him then Dr. Nazari who helped take care of me during my RNY and Gall bladder surgery is very nice! I have run into him every time including right at the OR entrance when I had the gall bladder out LOL I hope you find someone you like hey if you cant then Im sure Cory would do it hahahaha

Hi Nancy,

I really like Dr. Harris at Coastal Surgery in Wilmington.  He is very professional and at frist I thought he had no sense of humor, but it just took a couple of visits to bring it out!  He and his PA are very good at getting my fills done.  I would recommend him anytime. It is easy to email and get a response quickly.  I like that better than calling. Hope you find the right dr for you.
