OT: The Grinch Visited on Christmas Eve

Those no good scoundrels.  That's just aweful news and such a low blow.  I've heard of dirty tricks but that one takes it.  Just kick a man while he's down.  Even in these economic times, thats just uncalled for.

I am praying for Ben to find a great job soon so that some of that unneeded stress will just go away.  In the meantime, I'll be on the lookout for possible job opportunities for him.  Make sure to upload a copy of Bens resume to Monster.com.  A lot of the companies in the triangle use Monster for recruiting.  There should be an uptick in hiring after the first once the new budget years open up.

Now, this goes for both of you, don't let those a-holes get you down.  You will walk away from this better and stronger than before, just keep your chin up and try to not let this take you down (I know, easier said than done).    I wish I could offer more in ways of support and encouragement.  Please let me know if there's anything at all that I can do for you guys.

Hey Dalton,

Thanks for the support. I do believe that we'll come out of it okay, but right now it's kind of scary and I never do to well with the unknown. Ben does have his resume on Monster and he's on LinkedIn ... But you might never find him unless you knew that his given name is John ... John B. Cumbo... Ben is his middle name. He was named after his grandfather's and his Grampa Johnny lived nearby over the years his family started calling him Ben. I also have a brother named Jon, so even though when we met and started dating, I called him John, it wasn't long until Ben stuck. Now we always know if we are getting a solicitation call because they will ask to speak to "John;" Only his friends and family call him Ben.

He's been submitting for positions on Monster, Careerbuilder, ComputerJobs, Dice, .... I know that he'll work hard at getting another position and hopefully the job climate will improve with the new year.

Thanks again for the support... As always it's appreciated more than I can say.

Hey Barb,
I am so sorry to hear this. I will keep you and your family in my prayers. God will not put no more on you than you can bare. Sometimes things happen for a reason. Reason being things may be better on the other side. Be encouraged, keep looking and stay prayerful.
