It is now 4:21 in the afternoon.  About 24 hrs since I got home from the hospital.  No pain meds are needed as of now.  I have not taken anything since leaving the hospital and I feel good.  I showered this morning and felt human again.    I also  went for a walk with my son today.  He is such a tropper going out with me looking like I do.  I still feel bloated in the stomach area so I wore an old pair of light blue lounging pants and an oversized pink top.  I look like hell but comfort is what I was going for.    My hair is flat but I did put on makeup.
I never knew drinking could be so noisy.  I have had about 10 oz of water and two s/f jellos today.  The diarrhea set in today as well.  No surprises happened but I am aware of it.  Well, I am going to do some phone calls now.  Thanks for the info and words of incouragement.

Keep up the good work!  And post if you have any questions.  It seems that there are always people around to help out.

That is great that you don't need pain meds and getting out to walk.   I looked like crap when i came home after my surgery but my surgeon told me to go to stores and walk, which i did.   Keep moving as i truly believe that helps with healing and your pain level.  The more you move, the less pain.

Merry Christmas and congrats on your surgery!

Sandra, things are going to turn around for ya soon. Its good you can get out and go so well without the pain meds as well. In a few weeks your going to experience so many new things as well. I was grateful that I did have a bit of rear end stuff myself right at first opposed to my wife who spent a week in the hospital after her surgery with a dynamic illius aka nothing worked well. Keep up the fluids and the positive outlook and get ready for a really good winter.
