Hello! Catching Up
Hello everyone!
I cannot believe my life! Friday after work I found a "new to me" Goodwill store and bought 3 pair of jeans. Two size 18 and one size 19 (didn't know they MADE size 19).
I took them into the dressing room just for sh*ts and giggles and to see if they came very far up past my knees.
You could have KNOCKED ME OVER when they came all the way up and fastened!!! OMG! It has been about 25 years since I was below a size 20. I'm FREAKIN'!!!!!
It's wierd, I can still wear some 20s, 22s, and have one worn, faded pair of 24s that are just so snuggley... but they WILL GO to someone who needs them more than me.
In tops, just like pants, it depends on the cut and maker. I am wearing some 2x, some XL, some 18, and even ONE 14!
Also, I knew this was coming but I had to experience it for myself I reckon..... I seem to be wearing someone's 'skin suit' and it just hangs on me.
So it has been 73 days since my RNY and I have lost about 56 pounds. I'm still stunned. It has been so worth it. I feel so much better.
And I have so much further to go but hey! I CAN AND WILL!

Hi Cindy,
Congratulations!!! It seems like the changing clothes sizes are the 'measureable' manifestation of the metamorphosis that we are experiencing. Enjoy those new size 18's while you can, because you'll be out of 'em before you know it.
I saw a pair of black leather slack last week in a size 10 and thought of you. I'll bet you'll be wearing 'em soon!
