Im doing fine. I am still having a little pain. I have been able to keep my water and protein down. I haven't been able to get in 60 grams of each yet. I have been walking too. I want to take some time out to thank everyone of you for keeping me along with my family in your prays. I want to thank Cindy for being my angel. She is awesome! I just want to encourage everyone that's still in the process. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Take care and be encouraged.

Ivory,  Sounds like you are doing so well.  That is wonderful!  Use the pain meds until you no longer need them.  It should happen like a switch overnight...you'll just turn that corner.  Congrats, darlin, and welcome to the loser's bench...let the losing begin!!!

Glad to hear that you are home and feeling good.  Don't worry so much about getting in the 60 grams of protein and all the water yet.  That will come in due time.  Just keep sipping!!!

Hugs,
Donna

Ivory,

Welcome back! It's great to have you back and on the loser's bench. Keep working on the hydration, followed by the protien... Sip, Sip, Sip and Walk, Walk, Walk... It's going to hold you in good stead. Know that most can't get in the full compliment or fluids or protien at first, but you just keep working on it and you'll get there soon.

Wishing you every success,

Barbara

Ivory,
So glad to see you "home"!  Keep sipping, and the 60 grams/60 oz will come soon enough.  I wasn't able to get it all in in that first 2 weeks, either.  Keep that as your goal, though, and you'll get there.  Don't forget to try the different powders that are available out there, mix them with milk, and count the extra protein that way.  You're doing fantastic!

thanks so much! i am so glad that i had u for my nurse. it just made it so much more easier to have someone to relate too. i did have to go to the er on last night. the area where my jtube was started bleeding. Dr. b wanted me to in and have my h/h chk. it was 10.5. it is still bleeding a little today but it will take a day or to get the lovenox out of my system. other than that im fine. pain free. im ready to go back to work!! im not gonna rush anything though. once again thanks for everything. you are awesome!!!

You're too sweet!  Glad you went into the ER and spoke to Dr. B.  That's what I told you to do ... anything "odd", you call him!  Good for you!

Don't you rush back to work.  Take your time off, girl.  John said the people were asking how soon he thought you'd be back.  I'll tell him you said you were ready.  lol  You've just got a good case of cabin fever right now.  I had it, too!  I talked Dr. B into letting me go back to work after 1 week off.  But take the time if you have it because you know how hard it is to get time off from NEMC around the holidays!

Talk to you soon!
