Something is wrong

A few months ago my abdominal area would burn off and on. I went to Dr. Mann and he did a ultra sound and scheduled me for a Scope. After the ultra sound he saw the Gallstones and said it needed to come out. The pain would come and go and after the Gallbladder was out I was fine. A few weeks ago my stomach was hurting and I went to my PCM and he put me on Nexxium and did a xray of my stomach area. He said my system was *backed up* and pointed to all the black area and said that was all gas. He put in a consult so I could go see Dr. Mann and I took a Nexxium everyday for a month till they ran out. I never did call Dr. Mann because I thought that the Nexxium *fixed* what was going on. I am now out of Nexxium and thats when this pain started... Yesterday around 5pm (when everyone closes their offices for the weekend LOL my luck!) I started having a burning pain... only this time it burns no matter what I eat or drink..Ive been in constant pain for 24 hours and I dont know what to do.

If I move it burns, if I lay down it burns. Hot food and cold food and drinks make it hurt. I have GOT to eat or Im going to get weak and I do not want to drop anymore weight. I took some left over Loritab and that clocked it for two hours then the pain came back. Does this sound like ucler pain to anyone?? my consult with Dr. Mann is still valid and I plan on calling him Monday. I can also get more Nexxium from my PCM. I DO NOT want to spend 10000000 hours at Lejeune emergency room so Im trying to hold off going in. Please send me some positive vibes...Im really hurting right now

I have absolutely ZERO to offer as advice but want you to know that I love you and "feel your pain."

 I am so sorry that you are going through this pain. I am sending positive thoughts your way.. I sure hope it gets better fast. Is there any way that yu can get more Nexium now? I have some and wish I could email it to you! :)

 Sorry you aren't feeling too cool. Sounds ulcery to me. 

Darcie - quit being a dingleling and get something done.  Call the pcp that gave you the nexium and see if he will call you in another script right away.  Have you tried some of the over the counter meds?  like zantac?  or even pepto?

And if you are hurting like you say you are then go the ER.  And definitely call Dr. Mann's office on Monday.  Everyone will be working short weeks for the next 2 weeks and you can't go on like this...

Okay - I am going to stop playing Mom and let you handle things.  Hope you feel better soon, but if you don't take care of yourself, then who will????

Get some Prilosec OTC and take it until you can get to the Dr.  It is almost the same as Nexium, I have taken both.  Nexium is better but Prilosec will help!

I'm sorry you're hurting Darcie...  I don't know what it could be, but I think Vera has a good suggestion....  Hope you can get some relief until you can get to Dr. Mann!

It sounds like an ulceration of some sort. Of course, I'm not a Dr., but please do as Vera suggests. Call in to your Dr. Mann and to your PCP and use the Prilose****il you can see someone.

Sweetie, I am so sorry you are hurting like this.  It does sound like ulcers... I have plenty of Nexium and will GLADLY bring you some!  I am off, like Peanie, all this week so it would be my pleasure.  If you want some company while on a trip to dr or whatever, let me know.  But in the meantime, call your PCP and get him/her to call in a script to WalMart ($4 for 30 days/$10 for 90 days!) and get yourself medicated NOW!!!  That's why docs have answering services.  If you have Prilosec OTC at home take some now.  Drink plenty of water... that will help dilute the acid.  I am PMing you my phone number... call me if you need me or want me for anything.

I don't have any advice for you, but it sounds like you've gotten some good suggestions here already.  I just wanted to say that I'm sorry you're feeling so bad, and I hope you can get some more Nexium or something to help you out so you can enjoy the holidays!  Hang in there!
