Ben is doing well. His glucose level is dropping about 10 points every time they check it, without any meds !!!! If nothing else good came of this experience, the resolution of his type 2 diabetes would wonderful.

He keeps getting better hour-by-hour and day-by-day. I look forward to his enjoying the benefits of this incredible journey.

Barb,  I know how you and Ben feel.  When I left the hospital I was off all my diabetices meds and they had cut my blood pressure in half.  I have been checking my sugar daily and it stays around 85 to 100.  That to me is well worth the surgery, because my husband and mother-in-law have major diabetices problem..  So good luck to Ben.  I wish him a speedy recovery.  I know he will heal fast because he has a very special angel.  Have a safe trip back to Raleigh....  Get some rest !!!!   Connie
