New Year's Day Goal Check-In!
I almost forgot!
Last Monday I asked who all would like to set a New Year's Day goal and that I'd make a post once a wee****il then so we could all check in with one another.![](http://images.obesityhelp.com/_shared/images/smiley/msn/happy.gif)
As for me, I am down 4.8 lbs. since last Monday. (I'm updating my ticker once a week on Fridays now.) 18.6 pounds to go to reach goal. I feel slightly optimistic.
How is everyone else doing?!

My goal is to increase my exercise and water intake. And by doing those two things, I hope to see a decrease in the pounds... Well, it is working... I have lost 4 pounds since last Monday.
I went to water aerobics once last week, Curves twice lst week and got my big ole butt up to jog in place during commercials several times each day - when I wasn't sleeping so that I could go to work the night shift. That is my hard part - working nights does not give me much time for the other things like exercise, cooking, grocery shopping. Thank goodness for my daughter, Lori. She helps with lots of stuff - just give her the grocery list, $$, and she will even come home and put things up for me if I am in the bed. It's like having a personal shopper.
Oh, and she is wrapping Christmas packages, too.
So this week I will be doing pretty much the same things and my goal is to increase my protein to 80-90 grams daily.
Little steps.
BTW Shauna - great job !

I would LOVE to see 136 on my scales by Jan 1st. That would put my BMI in the NORMAL range. Other than maintaining my weight loss and toning up, that is my last major goal from my WLS. Now, I have to say, I'm very happy at the weight that I've reached of 140 and if I don't lose anymore, I'm so happy with the results so far. The extra effort on the exercise front is definately paying off. Even though I haven't lost much weight over the last 2 months, I've dropped another size. The last few items of clothing I have purchased have all been size 8! I would have never believed that would ever be the case. All my 10s still fit, but are a little loose, which is ok with me.
Great post Shauna!

My New Year's Goal is to come through surgery good; have lost at least 10 pounds on this liquid diet and hopefully have another 10 down.
After New Year's my goals are:
Get my protein and water in
Exercise daily
My first mini-goal is a 3 month goal of 45 lbs, 6 month goal (my birthday) 100lbs, and be faithful with the tool including protein and water, vitamins, and daily exercise.
Thanks for a great post Shauna!
Pam
