Words of wisdom here.....
Experince is our teacher .
With that in mind eventually everyone one of us is going to at some point experince The Foamies, Dumping, Things getting Stuck ect...
It is not fun I can assure you of that but each time we have something like that happen we learn from it and for me personally I dont forget it.
Sometimes we will have to experince these things more than once and sometimes without a warning they will happen with foods we have had no trouble with.
Now Shauna I too thought listing a teaspoon here and there was crazy until I had a weight gain of 9lbs.
I have found it intresting just how many calories we can get in buy having a little of this and that.
There are many programs out there to use to list and chart your intake.
I use sparkpeople.com to list my food intake and fitness.
To tell you the truth portion control is the answer we have all been looking for.
With my pouch it gives me the control I have needed to stay within those limits.
There are certain foods like chips and or crackers that seem to to be an endless amount but these are things I try not to have many in my house.
Crackers and cheese are a daily staple for me and soup but I am very happy with these things and do well.
We always like to read what you write.

It is never too late to be what you might have been.?

Annie,  Thankfully a teaspoon here and there hasn't been an issue for me thus far.  Unfortunately my problem has been a *lack of eating* (desire and otherwise -- and therefore a lack of calories) and that is what I am working hard on now.  I've learned that I have to watch the clock and make myself eat, even if I don't want to, otherwise I'm in trouble.

Now that I am charting what I eat, I'm also figuring out "trigger" foods, like the oatmeal.  Chips haven't been something I've tried, nor wanted to try.  Soup, beans and yogurt seem to be my staples right now.  I do Ritz Free crackers with a tablespoon of peanut butter every once in awhile, but that's as close to "junk food" as I've gotten.  I tried a Morningstar Farms "Chik Pattie" for lunch today but could only eat half of it.

I still prefer pen and paper to chart with.  I'll be so glad when I get used to having to eat so frequently and when I figure out what foods my blood sugar exists best on.  I think I'm finally on the right track!

My shrink recommended a book
Dietminder   personal food & fitness journal by memoryminder journals inc
It has it all: food, drink, calories, fat, carbs, protein, fiber, a place to total for the meal and for the day.
you can track 3 meals and 3 snacks a day, a place to track vitamins, and fitness for the day. oh and water boxes to check off.
I find it helpful. I just throw it in my purse if I'm on the run and always have it with me.
I think I found it at Barnes & Nobles just in case you are looking something like this.

Hope you are feeling better all around. I also hope that each minute that passes gets better  for you.
I have gained 3 lovely pounds and am trying to cut back and loose those. I have 5 days before my liquid diet so I have faith.
I have quit smoking woohoo. That doesn't mean that I don't have the urge. Every 20 min I am having to tell myself NO NO lol
Talk to you soon
