Glad you are home and can sleepm in your own bed. That always makes me feel better. The loose bowels are completely normal and can make things a bit exciting for a few days. Hang in there!

Hey Cindy, I'm glad your home! Hope you start feeling better real soon. Yes that is normal to have diarreah and if you feel the need to pass gas you better head to the bathroom.

Cindy,

I'm so glad to here that you are doing better and will hope for a smoother, gentler recovery from her on out.

To be honest, it is 'normal' to have diarrhea, constipation or no BM's initially. If you continue to have issues and/or the diarrhea seems excessive, be sure to contact your surgeon's office. They will be able to guide you. You just want to be sure to guard against dehydration, which can be an unfortunate side effect of excessive diarrhea and you can be prone to dehydration postop because it's hard to get enough fluids in.

Welcome to the loser's bench ... the very nicest way!

Glad to hear you're doing better!!!  As for the diarrhea...I was that way for the 1st week.  I'm now 4 1/2 months out and still go 3 to 4 times per day.  Hope it helps!!!
I'll keep praying for you!

Hi Cindy,
Welcome home and welcome to the bench.
Get plenty of rest and things will get better.
As far as loose stools I imagine with your pneumonia you were put on antibiotics this also can cause loose stools.
Hang in there Cindy you are in my thoughts and prayers.
