Stalled, but doing well
Hello all! Just wanted to check-in and let everyone know how I am doing. I have had an uneventful recovery and have lost a total of 40 pounds, from the start of my 2 week liquid diet. I'm already down a size or two and my clothes are getting big. The greatest thing so far is I can wear my wedding rings again, YAY! I started back to work yesterday after being out for three weeks and it's going well.
I am now eating tuna, shrimp, peanuts, eggs and cheese and having no problems with anything. I haven't gotten sick or foamed except for some dumping on my liquid Tylenol when I first came home from the hospital. I get to start chicken and turkey on Monday!
My only complaint right now is this stall! I've read and know that most people have a stall occur at about two to three weeks out, I guess I am no exception. I'm just trying to focus on the changes that have already happened and wait for the pounds to start dropping again. I can't help but have the irrational thought that I will be the person who doesn't lose from having surgery. I keep telling myself there is no way I won't lose weight, with what has been done and with what I am eating the weight is going to start coming off again. I will just have to wait and let my body figure out what in the world has happened.

Hey there - glad to know that all is well. Make sure you're sipping tha****er and just keep plugging along - you're brain has to play catch up with what's going on with your body. We all understand and expect it but it still doesn't make it any easier.
Good Luck!!!

Hi Jennifer. So glad you had a good ol' boring recovery.
Uneventful = Successful!
I am with you on the wedding ring thing. I was showing my kids earlier, "Look what I'm wearing!" It's a great wow moment, isn't it?
And, again like you, I haven't had any trouble at all with sickness, foaming, or dumping (so sorry about the Tylenol!). My plan says to start seafood and poultry today. I'm going to go stock up on some frozen seafood selections this evening!
Your forty pound loss thus far is fantastic! My heart goes out to you about your current stall though. I am absolutely dreading the inevitable! Keep telling yourself that you WILL continue to lose and just hang in there until it starts happening again.
