Appointment with Surgeon at Duke

My surgery was with Duke but I also had Dr. Porteneir.  Dr. Torquati did my pre-op surgical group session, while he can be a little hard to understand, I liked him.  Duke has very good statistics on their surgery.  I've have heard many others day great things about Torquati.

To add to what Barb said, my understanding is that Dr. Sudan is also experienced with the DS and that Duke will be adding that to their program eventually.

I had my surgery 4 months ago yesterday at Duke WLS. They are excellant. It took me 1 1/2 years to get through the hoops. I hope you have a very sucessful surgery. I went home the day after surgery.  Good luck with your journey.
