Carolina Weightloss Surgery----WTH???

I am soooo...sad and angry at the same time.  A patient of Dr. Bauman's told me today that Dr. P is leaving the practice.  She said that his last day is 12/17.  WTH...don't they have any obligation to tell their patients???  What happens to me now?  Am I just on my own or does another doctor in the practice (Dr. B is the only other one) pick me up as their patient?  Has this happend to any of you?  I'm only 4 months out and just totally ticked by all of this. 

In all honesty, you have choices.  You can email dr p or call the doctors office and ask these questions.

Go from there and make your decision.  Most often, post op dosen't bring in billable hours like preops do, since the surgery is over.

This has been a topic in a couple of other posts here in the past two weeks. I'm calling in the morning to figure out what to do.   Dena told us Jon will be going to the Matthews area, so depending on what practice he is going to, I may go with him.  Just gotta see.

I emailed him with my concerns and within minutes he emailed me back.  He said his last day is 12/31 and his new practice at Presby Matthews will open on Feb. 1st.  It just so happens that Presby Matthews is a mile from my home.  I'll definately be going with him.  Actually, this all works out better for me!!!  So my "WTH" just turned into "THAT"S GREAT"!!!  LOL

Is he opening a practice himself or is he joining someone?

I was just there today at CLWS. If I understood correctly Dr P will be opening a practice in Mathews at  Presbetarian(sp). I was really upset at first but will be staying with Dr P. I REALLY like him and trust him as my Dr...Sooo the hour to hour & a half drive will be worth it. Best of luck to all of his patients in figuring out what is best for you.   Pollyann

If you chose to stay at CLWS Dr B will take on Dr P's patients
