angel?

With my surgery coming up very, very soon I thought it was time I asked about an "angel."  I got a nice email from OH telling me I should get one to look in on me and essentially be a mentor during this critical stage in my journey.  So, how does one get an "angel?"  How do I choose the best angel for me?  I prefer an angel in NC or even locally if I can find one.  What does an angel do, anyway?

By the way everyone, my surgery is on December 12th at Pitt Memorial in Greenville, NC.  I would welcome visitors with similing faces to reassure me, if anyone would like to come see me.  I could probably use a motivator to get me up and walking down the hall at the hospital! 

Careful what you wish for!  I've been known to kick butts all the way up and down halls!
