This is for those of us who have been told we look older! Well so yes I might have lost my fat that padded my face and neck. I might look older then my years. But I say this proudly it's worth it to me! Every wrinkle every sag and every bag. It bets the hell out of being Dead because that's where I was heading. To those Fools with mouth before Minds Kiss My Bony A$$! I'm Happy as all get out!

You said that beautifully!!!!  I am pre-op and am tired of hearing things like I would be pretty if... along with comments about how I don't look my age.  I will take the wrinkles, turkey neck, whatever I get once the fat starts disappearing from under all of this skin rather than dealing with health problems and looking at probably not making it to 50 at this rate (or at least not without more strokes).  The idea of youthfulness that is only a temporary thing because my skin is filled out with fat is not my idea of how I want to live my life.  I prefer to look my age for once and actually tell everyone that I am happy to be 41 because I have a great life and these are now the best years of my life!

You can't imagine how many times I've thought about Barb's post from earlier and the insensitive things that people can say. Women - well - we can be catty at times. But the more I've thought about it the more convinced I am that there are just some plain old bitter biddies out there. After the weight loss slows (or stops) we proud turkey necks can opt to have a littel cosmetic surgery if we desire but these morons can't have a sensitivity implant for any amount of money. You just can't fix stupid. In the long run they'll still be miserable even if they reach a goal of being stick thin.

There's a reason that I'll look older anyway (besides WLS) it's because I keep having those damn birthdays. Plus the fact that I'm surviving 2 teenage sons and friends. A turkey neck or a few bags and sags is really the least of my problems. Dontcha think?

I can relate to this post as well, someone told me today "you do have a neck" and someone else said that before my face was so chubby because my hair was cut short and then my son told me the other day you have wrinkles and I'm like yeah and your point is? I'll take the wrinkles any day over the full fat face and like I've always said it's amazing what make up can fix lol.
