The UGLY secret to break a stall
Sooooooo I have been feeling absolutely miserable, since last Tuesday (9days ago) Monday I finally go in, because I am up for hours and hours coughing, she diagnoses it as an Upper Respiratory Infection..YAY GREAT!! Been taking some meds...so Wednesday gets here (todaY) and I feel WORSE and the ball is TOMORROW, I have got to get past this coughing...mind you, I cannot eat, i don't feel like eating NOTHING!! Have been drinking lots of water, since monday she also mentioned dehydration!! But anyways, go to see a different doctor today and said she wouldn't prescribe antibiotics unless absolutely necessary, so i go for a chest xray and after 2 hours of waiting, take a paper to her, and she reveals, I have PNEUMONIA
and the antibiotics are definately needed!
Now back to the whole secret of the stall....I have been fiddling with the same weights for weeks, then lose maybe a pound, then stay the same for weeks, then maybe lose two pounds..WELL since Monday, I have lost 6lbs. in 3 days, 4 of them were dropped overnight!! Thanks to the lovely sickness of Pneumonia!! BLAH!! I woke up at 4 am last night to take some meds and my husband had just gotten home from work and he made the comment " you look REALLY skinny right now" I am starting to wither away...LOL
As far as the ball, she said the ONLY way that I can go, providing I even feel like it, is to do NOTHING for the rest of today and tomorrow!! I think my body completely missed the memo of the special event that I have been gearing up for!! so wish me luck and lets hope that I can make it to the ball and not scare everyone around me into thinking I have some kind of plague..LOL
I will give an update Friday or Saturday as it will be my 9 MONTH surgiversary and it has just been an AMAZING ride!!! Now I must go to bed and try not to cough out a lung!!
PS. Pneumonia is a very scary word in my family, my grandmother who was my all time best friend passed away from pneumonia and just 2 weeks ago, a great aunt of mine also passed away due to it!! My husband was scared to death when I told him, but my doctor said NOW that I am healthy :) I should recover just fine!!

Oh Jami, that's just awful! I'm so sorry you have come down so sick, especially the week of the ball. Sounds like something that would happen to me. Thankfully you are now healthier and hopefully will bounce back quickly enough with the antibiotics and rest so that you can attend. I hope you can not only attend but that you can also *enjoy!* Can't wait to hear your 9 month surgiversary update and hope to see pics as well. Your progress pics are always in my mind's eye! Get well soon! {{{Hugs}}}
We hate your sick! But we are all sooo waiting to see the pictures from the Ball! I hope you make it! Please don't be to depressed if you gain a few back sounds like you might be dehydrated though. It seems when we get sick we can't drink enough water and that will certainly make you feel like crud. Try sipping hot tea, honey and lemon for the cough and fluid. Ginger brandy is great too but.....they don't sell it down here and LoL you probably wouldn't make it to the Ball standing up. Any hoot so what does your dress look like and where is the Ball? My youngest went to one in NewBern a few weeks ago. Pneumonia is scarey and it hits fast and can be deadly to the old, young and week but your young and healthy! Have fun for us and no dancing on the table!
Beginning weight: 284
Surgery weight: 251
Current weight: 149
Girl... You have Pneumonia? Dang girl!!! I know you've been looking forward to that ball, I sure hope you feel up to going! Maybe you can go for a little bit, make an appearance, look awesome in your new dress and then go home and recooperate! Do what the doctor tells you, stay on top of it and above everything else - GET WELL SOON!!!!! I'm sorry to hear about your Grandmother, and I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers!
Take care girl!
