I need a WLS friendly PCP somewhere close to CMC-Union

I now live in SC, but south of Monroe. My PCP, who is awesome, is in Mountain Island area. I love her to death but its just too hard to get all the way there for an appointment.

I tried the local family docs office, but the PCP, while very nice and attentive, knows jack about RNY and I don't want to edumacate her - how would I know if I'm doing something wrong?

Anywho, do any of you see a PCP in Monroe area - (I live down 601) who KNOWS what RNY is and what our special needs and various issues are?

I'm in Charlotte and don't know any docs down your way. My PCP is in Mt Holly, about 10 mins from where I live and he is extremely supportive of WLS. He is just thrilled for me and he even knows and has much respect for Dr. Voellinger that will do my sleeve.

My PCP is close to Matthews. I live in Indian Trail. Crown Point Family Physicians. They are on  Monroe Road near Crown Point.
I see Dr. Dehority. He was ok with me having the surgery  and was happy to help out with the pre-op testing.

Thanks Cutty - I am already post-op so I am kinda lookin for someone who is familair with all of our quirks (no NSAIDS, No extended release, labs, etc) Do you think that doc would be ok?

I do plan to ask my surgeon when I see him on the 16th too, but I like patient experience better :)

I believe he's had several RNY patients and I know that he was familiar with Dr. V, my surgeon. Any one of the doctors in that practice is good. There was a Nurse Practioner there I really liked, but she left last year, so I went back to Dr. Dehority, who I originally started with several years ago.

I go to Larry Berman in Pineville near CMC, he is incredible supportive of post -ops, has a PA whose Mother had RNY and he has been my support since I came back from Mexico. He is  a great man and doctor ...
