Just wanted to.....

I just wanted to wish you and your families a safe and Happy Thanksgiving...  Surgery is on Tuesday, met with my surgeon today and he said I could eat a good turkey dinner.  Kinda like the last meal for awhile..LOL  I thought that was very nice of him..   Be safe ... Connie

I wonder if we passed in the halls? Ben and I were there to see Dr. Portenier for his presurgery appointment too and all looks good for his surgery the following week 12/11. Like you, he told Ben to enjoy the holiday, then to buckle down and prepare for this life-changing surgery.

How did you like the new offices?? Pretty nice, don't you think? It's amazing all of the accomodations that they have made for the SMO... from the bathrooms to the doors that will open to 48 inches and all of the seating in the waiting area set up so that you don't have to worry where to sit. Also having everything on one floor. I think it's going to be very nice. I understand that similar changes have been made over at DRH and I'm looking forward to seeing those as well. Ben has his appointment with psych and the nutrition on Monday, then we'll go over to DRH and meet with Mary Whitman and see the new bariatric floor.

Hi  Barbara,   My appointment was at 1:00 with Dr. Portenier, and I also saw Dr. Sharp.  Did you and Ben see him?  He said he was there helping Dr. Portenier.  Dr. Portenier came in a little later.  I will see you and Ben on Monday because I have a appointment also.  Then I am off to the hospital also.  Does Ben have to have a chest  x-ray at the hospital Monday?  When I got up to the front to check out the nurse said I needed to get my x-ray done Monday when I went over to the hospital.  Dr. Portenier didn't listen to my chest and didn't say anything about it.  I figured this was just standard  procedure.  I thought I was through with all the test.  I did like the new building.  Its a overweight persons haven...   Wide everything.  The bathrooms are not like Wal-Marts....  You don't have to back in,  Lol  Oh well I see you guys on Monday...    Take care...Connie
