Happy Thanksgiving to all my NC friends. We all have so much to be thankful for, it is special for me as it was a year ago thanksgiving that I decided to have RNY for my diabettes and this was the place that helped me thru the decision making process. I loce the NC board and think these are where the sweetest nicest people are.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. Although it looks like we may be having Thanksgiving dinner on Friday. Our son and his family were supposed to be back from WV yesterday afternoon. They went up for their annual hunting trip. They called yesterday afternoon to say it was snowing heavily and they would wait to come home later today (once the snow stopped and roads had been sanded). Of course, we told them to BE SAFE. We have nothing that HAS to be prepared today.
Today is also our 43rd anniversary. So my husband and I will be celebrating anyway, even if it is just us and the kids' dogs!
I am so thankful for my family and friends, and my new lease on life!

I am very thankful for my NC friends that have gotten me through all of this. I am sure that I have such a good result so far because of all the support I have gotten here. We will have a small dinner here with just DH and the DD's. We are having the turkey so that we can have the leftovers for eating all the next week. Since turkey is actually good for me I will be eating it too. Also we don't have to get so fancy with just the four of us so I can make the good stuff without the sugar and bad garnishes. We will have pie though. I got a really good pie recipe from bariatrictv.com. I will make it this morning.
