Melissa,
I don't know if it will make a difference, but I would want to talk to the Dr's office and be sure that they add that you are currently experiencing debilitating pain associated with the hernia. Maybe the fact that it is impacting your life in a negative way that isn't related to 'how you look' might tip the scales... I really don't know what the criteria is for their determination, but I think that you can probably find out; just like we did for the WLS in the first place.
I'm glad that at least now you know what you are dealing with.
I really hope you feel better soon.

I hope you're feeling better soon and that insurance goes ahead and pays for your tt... I have gone to 2 plastic surgeons in the Jacksonville and Wilmington areas and the least expensive I've found for a tt was over $8000, so if you can get it for $2500 by a respectable doctor then wow!!! I really hope insurance pays for it though... I'll be watching your post, I have BCBS also but the Federal plan.
Good luck!

That being said, it would be worth jumping on if insurance doesn't payfor the TT. It would kind of be like going to Disney and someone else paying for the hotel and food. All you have to pay is tickets to the park. Don't know if I'm making sense, it's late...
Take care.
