Protein Powder
Hi Connie,
I'm surprised that they came to you like that. I'm not sure, but if I use other products as a guide, a scoop is normally about a tablespoon or so and it is mixed with about a cup of skim milk.
I'm sure that I mentioned that my husband, Ben will be having his surgery in a couple of weeks. We bought a few protien suppliments for him to try. He didn't like the Boost. He thought the Atkins was better ... not great, but okay. I think that the one I liked the best was a powder that I purchased at GNC called AmericanWhey. The texture was okay and the flavor was not as 'sweet' as many of the others I tried. I found that GNC and The Vitamin Shoppe were very good about letting me try products and allowing me to exchange products if/when I didn't like them. This was a big help because they can be expensive.
The best news is that you only need to use the suppliments for the first couple of months. After that, you will quickly wean from them as you move to normal 'food'.
If you don't get the answers you need re the proportions on they bariatric eating samples from this post, try cross posting to the main and rny forums. You may get more responses just beccause you will be casting a larger net.
All the best,
Barbara

I love all of these protein powders and have fun making new flavors with the sugar free syrups, sugar free pudding mixes and sugar free coffee creamers.
