Pain in abdomen

I know that the message board is not any where of a substitution for the doctor and I have a call into the nurse and I am waiting to hear from her. But I am 9 months out , today. And since Friday I have been having a pain in my abdomen on the left side. Last night I was bent double for awhile because of it. It is a dull ache continually with sharp pains periodically. I feel like someone drop kicked me in the gut! Anyways I just wondered if anyone else had this pain or something similar. Like I said I called the nurse but am waiting to hear from her. I did alot of walking and bending over Friday at a Fall Festival at my kids school but I don't think that could be it. Oh and I only have 6 lbs to go for my Christmas goal!! Yay!

It's been 2 hours...have you heard anything yet?  I am so sorry you are having that pain.  I have some liquid Lortab I'd let you sip on if you lived closer.  hehehe 

The left-side pain that follows surgery immediately can be a doozie.  I wonder if that same area can be pulled or stressed again to cause it to flare up at a much later time? 

Congratulations on being just 6 pounds from your Christmas goal...yay indeed!!! 

Thank you Shauna. No I hadn't heard anything and I had kinda let the time pass.So I called just now and I think they thought I was calling about my appeal. I told the secretary NOOOO I was in pain so she let me hold on and I got to talk to the nurse. Told her my symptoms and she said she would talk to the doctor who was in with a patient right now and call me back.So Istill don't know anything. Thank you for caring about me. And I am sorry I hadnt had a chance to tell you welcome to the bench but I have really felt like crapola since Friday. I hope everything is going well for you.

Once again I am going to lecture on being Pro active with our health care.
If you dont get a call with in say an hour call again and also usally if you press #0 it should take you to a person.
I am wondering could it be your gallbladder?

Thanks Annie. Yes I probably need a lecture. The only reason I called today was because my mom convinced me to. She asked me what I would do if it got even worse over the holiday so... I called. I don't have my gall bladder it was taken out 3 years ago this week actually. Reckon my body is having flash backs?? LOL But this pain is on my left side almost even with my bellybutton just to the left. As I told Shauna I spoke to the nurse so now I am waiting again after she talks to the doctor.

NopeI don't still have that pesky gall bladder. It was taken out 3 years ago in an accident prone surgery. That's where I got my ugly hernia . I will let ya'll know when I do...hopefully soon.
