I am HOME
Congratulations on your successful surgery! I'm so glad you are feeling good. You are a day ahead of me. :) I am very tired and still taking my Lortab every 4 hours for pain. The only place I hurt is on my left side, which I know is typical, but wow it hurts. I have to use a pillow over that area to get up and move much. It has been fun introducing the full liquids. Yesterday we got egg drop soup from carry-out and it was heaven! I find that my pouch loves warm things in small amounts, but it doesn't care for cold things even in the tiniest of amounts. Not worrying about counting protein just yet...I'm focusing on keeping hydrated, which definitely takes work. I'm up 1 pound on the scale from when I went in to the hospital so the fluid retention wasn't bad. Fill me in on how you are doing with all of these things. Wishing you lots of luck and success in the coming weeks!
Girl I am stuggling with my protein today, but I am not worried about it. I haven't even weighed myself and I haven't even bought a scale yet because I am scared I will be obsessed with it. I wish I can get that protein in, but I am about to drink some chicken broth tonight to give me something else besides water and crystal light. I do have 10 days left. I haven't taken any pain medicine yet but I might need to today because I been out an about four 4 hours and I can feel the affects of it. Well keep me posted. When do you go back for a follow up.
