Vera,  You do have so much going on and my heart goes out to you and your family.  I'm wishing you the best of luck.  You have definitely been in my thoughts and will continue to do so.  Make sure to take a little time for yourself when you feel those stress levels building.  My family and I really appreciate your prayers.

Welcome to the losers bench!!! LOL at the wizard of oz... umm that happens to be one of my favorite movies of all time Lizard skin? that Morphine didnt DO ANYTHING for pain, just made me sick as a dog!! you can ask my husband about the WWF screaming and shouting match I had in my room because I was so sick I was going crazy!! I had already had the Fenergan and everything went downhill after that swallow test. I never ever ever want to be that sick again. So lizard.. lol I am glad you are home and safe and yes the left side pain WILL go away in a bit... mine lasted about a month. Doesnt it feel better to be back in your own bed? Nothing felt as good as going home and getting in my own bed! If you think about it you have been up partying like a rock star with no sleep for the past four days LOL I wish you sweet dreams and a speedy recovery.

Darcie,  I know morphine is supposed to be the best drug for post-op pain management but sheesh!  That stuff was making me feel like a drooling, bumbling idiot and I just kept feeling worse and worse while on it.  I think I must've kept up a good front Friday because everyone thought I looked great, but inside I was just miserable.  By Saturday morning, there was no hiding it.  I kept almost passing out (during my swallow test and when I tried to walk), couldn't remember things (like my birth date), and when I finally realized it had to be the morphine, I quit pushing the button.  It was several hours before the swallow test was ordered and over, the new medication prescribed and distributed, so by then I was in a heap just bawling from it all!  After a good hard cry (oh my gosh, the pain from sobbing!) and a good dose of new medication, I turned a corner and was tons better!  (I may have this timeline off because I am still having trouble remembering!)  The morphine made me run a slight temp and my cheeks flushed so bad, my face is scaly.  I'm exfoliating and moisturizing, but I still have lizard skin!

Thankfully that was all short-lived and, as you know, well worth it.  Yes, I am sooo happy to be home and back in my own bed!  Thank you for your sweet wishes.
