My last update on Shauna - she is on her own tomorrow !

Yep - they are kicking her out tomorrow and she will have to find a way to get online and give her own updates!  They will remove the drain, and IV in the morning and told her to plan on leaving around noon.

I got there this afternoon and she was up and walking around, we went around the halls twice before going back to her room.  She is feeling much better without Mr. Morphine and looks great!

She is on liquids - broth, crystal lite, jello.  And she did great with her sipping.  We walked again twice around the halls and she considered a third time, but then changed her mind.  So I said 2 and a quarter !

What else can I tell you?  She was so ready for the surgery - the mental aspect is a big part of success.  I have no doubt that she will be very successful. 

We shall wait to hear from her soon....

I am so happy to hear how Shauna is doing and can't wait to hear that she is home and getting bored with the liquids.  Keep up the great job Shauna!!!!

Thank so very much for the updates. I've wondering how she's doing, but haven't wanted to intrude, so your updates are great. I'm just delighted to hear that she's doing so well. I agree that she's going to be very successful with this tool she's aquired, because as you say the mental aspect of this journey is indeed a very big part of the success factor.

I think so many go into wls and think they have finally found the magic answer.
Sorry there is no magic answer it is a lifestyle change that we need to accept and no to mention very hard work and dedication.

Thanks for the update. I had said lots of prayers for Shauna. Keeping her in my thoughts and prayers. She was diffently ready mentally. :)  Hope she continues to do well. Can't wait to read her post again.
