How Quickly will BCBSNC approve?

I don't want to burst your bubble, but I've been denied TWICE by BCBSNC State Health Plan. My BMI is 39.8 with co-morbs of uncontrolled type 2 diabetes (2 shots per day plus a pill), HBP, acid reflux, osteoarthritis, high cholesterol. They said the surgery was NOT medically necessary and that I have not been MO for the last 4 out of 5 yrs. I applied at UNC Hospital and my PCP, the dietician, the psychologist and surgeon all recommended the surgery and said I was a good candidate. I'm at my wit's end!!
