Before and After pictures ...
I saw this thread on the Grads board and thought we might want to try it here... no matter how new you are to this journey.
Oh, to get your photos into the body of your response to the thread you can upload them to your profile, then right click to copy and then paste them in. I used two windows so I could just toggle between them and do it easily. Then I grabbed the sizing corners and shrunk 'em down so that they wouldn't be so big.

Sooooo...
My high weight was 264. When I started with Duke I weighed 248. At surgery I was 233 and today I weigh 135.
Here are some of my before and afters... I look forward to seeing yours.
Size 22 wedding dress 30 years ago.
Size 24/3X in family portrait in 2005
Size 14 in Oct 07 ... Dancing the night away at my nephew's wedding
Size 10/12 in Dec 07 ... Feeling really pretty for the first time in a long time. Had these taken to try to 'see' what others told me they were seeing. It helped some.
My preop photos submitted to Duke at 245 and same poses taken on my 50th Bday @ 155
At my son's wedding @ about 135, wearing a size 6/8.

Thanks for the compliments... Believe it or not, I'm actually larger framed, so I can tell you that it definitely is possible to shrink to a size smaller than you ever imagined.
I hope seeing the me that I have known for all of my adult life, versus the me that we all see today helps you see that you too can do this.
I am still trying to get used to the new me. There are some things I really like about the new me and believe it or not, some things I don't like as much. But all things have trade-offs I guess and I'm not willing to trade my health and quality of life to get back some of the things I was more comfortable with before.

Melissa,
Have some taken whether you get it fixed or not. We all have things we don't like, but it's a good thing to celebrate the possitive changes you have made. Even if you are not where you want to be. We are all 'works in progress.'
Hugs,
