Thanks Shauna but I ended up going back to the ER today and having a Endoscopy done tomorrow so hopefully they will find out whatever it is that is causing this awful pain. Feel better.

I would talk to your doctors and get their advise. If you are weak you don't need to push yourself. You didn't put on the weight overnight and it won't come off overnight. Maybe they could move someone in your place and you take theirs. Having just had Lap RNY I would want to be a 100% healthy and feel great surgery day with no issues or concerns. With flu season coming upon us I worry that I couldn't fight off germs even now and I am almost 3 month. The nausea thing worries me with having a small pouch. I am constantly using a hand sanitzer at work. If someone is sick I say "GO HOME", I can't afford to be sick now.

Here's wishing you the best with everything and hope you get better soon.

It was the worse feeling in the world to have to postpone my surgery due to bronchitis but when I finally did have it I went to the hospital fully recovered and had no problems at all. Was it worth the wait? Probably because what if it caused me to have pneumonia or worse having it on my original date? I would not put off being treated so that your date would not have to be put off but if it is it will be the safest thing to do.

I have one thing to say.... ROCEPHIN!!!!!!!!!!!

It is a very painful antibiotic shot, but you will feel much better the very next day.

I am also a carrier of strep. In fact, I have a heart condition that started because of the strep infection. Since my heart surgery I get sicker than I ever did before. Also... my Dr. put the fear of God in me to get to the Dr. AS SOON as I feel that I am sick. (ie; fever, swollen lymph nodes)  Some people that dont really know me probably think I am a freak because I do not "wait" out any sickness. ( I learned the hard way... and it almost cost me my life... LITERALLY!)

The one good thing that came out of it is that without hesitation they ALWAYS give me the rocephin shot. It is a really strong antibiotic and it does hurt. (I am not going to lie to you!) But it does give you a jumpstart on getting better. I usually feel better the very next day.

Whatever you decide to do I hope you get to have your surgery on the scheduled date. I know that you will be disappointed otherwise.

Band to DS

Unfortunately, I had to delete this post due to privacy concerns.

Got a lap band in 2008. Tried hard, but didn't lose much weight & developed swallowing problems. Fought my insurance company for almost a year & finally had a band to DS revision on 5/11/12. Have now lost 125 pounds. Yay!
