Unfortunately, I had to delete this post due to privacy concerns.

Got a lap band in 2008. Tried hard, but didn't lose much weight & developed swallowing problems. Fought my insurance company for almost a year & finally had a band to DS revision on 5/11/12. Have now lost 125 pounds. Yay!

Best of luck to you over there in Winston-Salem!! When you get home, give us an update on how you're doing. My surgery is in less than 2 months now and as someone said, "It'll be here before you know it!"

I used to live in Greensboro. I went to UNC-G and visited Winston-Salem a LOT and dated a guy from there too when I lived there. I also spend a whole summer at the NC School of the Arts in drama when I was a teenager. Geez, that seems like just a few years ago, but it was about 30 years ago! My body keeps getting older, but my mind is still in college.
