A couple of WOWs

Well I spent some more time in retail therapy today - I had to buy new shoes. I thought it was weird that all of my shoes were uncomfortable lately but it turns out that my feet have lost weight. (he he he) My feet are actually sorta bony now and the way my shoes were hitting the bones was becoming uncomfortable. I only bought 2 pairs since my boss warned things will probably change even more. I went from size 10 Wide to a 9 regular.

I'm wearing a pair of size 22 pants today and - well they're baggy. Not only have my feet lost weight but my butt is missing in action too. And I'm wearing an XL shirt as well.

Not bad for a little over 10 weeks. From starting size of 26 pants, 3XL shirts and 10W shoes to 22 pants, XL shirts and 9 regular shoes. I'll take it.

Iris,
I thought you were going to say you were hearing wedding bells LOL Just Kidding.
It is the best thing ever to be able to get smaller sizes a little scarry sometimes but man does it feel good.

Hijack!

Annie, I noticed that you've mentioned that getting smaller sizes is scary a few times. I was wondering what it is about getting smaller that you find scary?

Love,

Barb

Hi Barb,
I am not really sure what is scarry about smaller sizes maybe it is the fear it wont last and I will be in size 54 again.
Hard to put into words.

Hi Iris,

Congratulations on your wonderful Non Scale Victories. I think that those are as telling and as important as the one we see ticking away on the scale because they are so much more tangible.

Wishing you continue success,

Barb

Wearing smaller sizes is a good feeling. I have already dropped a size and the pants that just a few weeks ago were too tight in the waist are now loose everywhere even in the waist. For water aerobics I am wearing a size 18 swimsuit I bought at Costco! I have to wear a pair of swim shorts over them because my tummy falls through the legs but still who would have ever thought I could buy a cheap Costco suit and it would fit!

That is awesome Iris and this is just the beginning!   When i flew to MI last week i couldn't believe i had about 5 or 6" of extra belt when i used to have to use an extender.  The wows are wonderful and wishing you many many many more!

Thanks for the words of encouragement. I almost forgot another biggie - I decided that for every 50 lbs I deserved a substantial gift (think jewelry). That's 3 nice new pieces. So for my first 50lbs I bought myself a really nice watch from the surf shop. It's really pretty and it's waterproof. BUT the bestest news. It fit like it was made just for me - no extra links needed to be added or altered from it. So when that fit I splurged on 2 sweatshirts from there as well - both XL's.
