WOW MOMENT-I think????
One of the teachers related a conversation he heard between two students about me. He prefaced it with I think you might like this, just listen with an open mind.
It seems that a new student was telling her new friend that she really liked her new art teacher (me) and that I was a lot of fun. (OH YEAH!) The other student replied--yeah she's really nice and not so mean since she is not fat any more.
She lost her meaness with her fat. Now that has me really thinking hard--Do students perceive fat people as mean or has my temper changed with my new body???? To my knowledge I am treating students the same and running my classroom the same. I keep my promises good or bad. I go overboard to treat each and every student the same.
I wonder if there is something I am missing or is this just Middle School weirdness????

I have had people tell me that I was more sociable and more outgoing with the weight loss. I think that can be preceived as nicer.
I am actually more sociable and outgoing. I think so. I feel so much better and my self esteem has significantly improved. I didn't change anything intentionally.
Just my 2 cents.
