Back From Mexico - X post

I went to Tijuana over the weekend.  Had my band checked at Dr. Ortiz's clinic.  I hadn't been having any problems, but it had been a year and I wanted everything looked at.  I had a 'free fill' coming from a referral, so off I went.  My daughter met me in SD, went down with me, then we came back to spend a day in SD before both of us flying to our homes.  My band is in fine shape.  It is right where it should be.  I have the perfect amount of restriction, and my port is fine, too.  I feel ever so much better, just being reassured!  I have never had a fill under fluoro, so it was a new experience!

I am very glad that everything was good for you with your band. You have done so well.  I know you are proud of yourself.  The time with your daughter was also a real plus on your trip I am sure.

What a great way to go for a Dr's visit?! I'm glad that all went well.

Well that sounded like a neat way to spend a weekend!  So glad you had a safe trip, are feeling confident and got to spend some time with your daughter.

You have done so well.. and that is great that the appt went well.  I am sure that having the *everything is ok* message was good to hear.  And to spend the day with your daughter in San Diego, too.  Did you feel like you were having a vacation.

We sure did.  We 'cabbed' to the zoo and walked, and walked and walked, and talked and talked and talked.  We see each other twice a year, but we don't often have time alone.  It was quite wonderful.

Well Darcie, I had one margarita.  I prefer sloe gin and OJ, but not every bar has sloe gin.  My daughter says it's an 'old lady' drink.  I hope to see you all in November.
