David C. Voellinger

Hello everyone ... I go to my first Seminar of Dr.David Voellinger on Monday.. In the meantime, I am doing as much research on him as I can to make sure he is whom I want to do my surgery... Anyways, my question- Have any of you been to his Seminar and/or used him as your surgeron? I would like to hear all the good things about him and of course the bad things (if any)... Do any of you know if hes had any deaths with the Lap band or Gastric?... Thank you all so much!!!

Don't forget -- Vollenger does the DS, too.. and that's a real good surgery to consider in addition to the main two.

Dr. V did my surgery-RNY on August 13th. He was awesome along with his staff. Just remember to be compliant  to his program and you'll do fine. I really don't have any complaints about him or his staff, they were very supportive and answered any questions I have had.

I'm also waiting on surgery with Dr. V. I had lap band surgery last year by Dr Bauman and got a leak and it was reversed. I live in Charlotte so when I decided to try another surgery, I wanted a local doctor. My coworker had RNY 2  years ago and has done wonderful and she had Dr V and highly recommended him. I  sent him a personal letter and in 2 day his nurse called and said he agreed to take me on as a patient. I went to see him and liked him right off. His a big ole teddy bear lol. He has also done an endoscopy on me to see if the lap band leakage did any harm and was just so friendly during that. I have a few more appts and then insurance approval.
Due to the leakage the only surgery he will do is the VSG - (sleeve) so that's what I'm waiting on
